Buyout Rookie

Starting with a Team
trackback

Like I’ve said before, I’m not on a casual buyout pursuit by any means. This is all about smashing records and gaining massive leverage in proportion to my Ultimate Goals. So I had a choice…

Do I fly solo on my first acquisition or do I wait until I recruit a team?

As of mid 2006 I was ready to initially go it alone. However, I later decided to change my approach. I’ve decided to pursue my first buyout deal with a small solid team behind me. It just makes sense to me. Yes it is possible to hit a homerun quicker if I pursued it by myself. However, with a team, the odds of success increase drastically for the first deal. It is a game of odds here. Do I go it alone, save the time of building a topnotch team, keep more of my first deal’s profits, and then build a team for my second deal? or Do I take the time to build a team now, share the massive profits with my team, and most likely execute the following deals more rapidly because the base team is in place already? Although there are many things I could put the profits of rapid initial success into in my life, I decided that it was worth it to reduce risk here rather than pursue potentially greater rewards. Overall, I think it adds more leverage towards some of my more important goals that are a few years off from now.

Initial success should still be quite rapid even with the added time of building my team. I am not settling on average people for my initial team though. The rewards are too great and the venture is too important. I’d be better off going solo than having average teammates by my side. I’ve made business acquisitions the initial cornerstone of my Wealth Building Algorithm. I’m out to achieve something on a whole new level. I need the Watkins Capital team to be extremely bright, light, and tight. I want people who are not just looking to feed off of me to become quick millionaires. I want those who are ready step up in every way they possibly can and consistently hammer out massive results.

The stakes are high. Success is coming. I’ll see you in the boardroom.
